Always going to be spammers out there. Sometimes it's worse than others due to how close the spammers come into your search horizon. Sometimes you might be connected directly to a spammer that is in ultrapeer mode, that's when the spam gets incredibly bad. Some tips here which also applies to video How to find music

As for the junk filter, set it to show junk at bottom of search results. Also, turn the filter strength down lowish. I think mine is set at about 5-10% (near far left of slider.)
