THanks - but still no work!

This is really making me frustrated. Ive downloaded 2 differnt files of the same thing - took 48 hours - and NEITHER of them work! I'm opening up with VLC and nothing on screen. I burnt to disk - nothing there. Im wanting to give up on this download business already. I thank you for your help and direction. I read the links and understood some more - but I still cant make it work.
