i just downloaded limewire pro but i keep getting a message stating that avg cant scan the files. i saw it on the download bar when i first logged on but it appears to be ineffective. the only reason i decided to pay for limewire, and not continue using rhapsody, was the security it was touted to have by other users. any clue as to y mine is ineffective?

I am having the same problem, too. I have Noton Security Suite and I think that's interfering with the AVG installation.

I am going to try to re-download with my Trend Micro disabled. Let you know how it works

PS: Isn't it kind of risky to download if your Anti-Virus software is disabled?

Did re-loading of the software with your Trend Micro disabled work? I still haven't had a response from tech support. I'd like to disable Norton, however, I feel that I'm leaving my system vulnerable as short of a time as it is......
