Installation quits after only going 2/3 of the way

Hi, I'm reposting the thread I submitted earlier, but I'm also attaching the terminal output generated when I tryed to install via the command line. When i ran the installer, I had already used stuffit expander on the Limewire_Installer icon (the Limewire_Installer.app directory). I hope this is some help to anyone trying to figure out the problem.

Thanks,

Dan

I also posted earlier::::

I'm also having the same problem. The Installer hangs 2/3 of the way through. I haven't had any luck with the 'no spaces' solution either, or anything I've found on the Limewire website. If I run the installer from the root directory, it still hangs, so I don't think the problem is caused by spaces in the name. For the record, I just downloaded the newest version of stuffit lite, and that hasn't changed anything. I also went into the Limewire_Installer.app directory, and found that in the Contents/Resources/Java directory, IAClass.zip and installscript.zip were unzippable with stuffit (the newest stuffit) expander, but Installer.zip wasn't (although I was able to unzip it on a SG running irix). I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem or what.

Oh, I'm running OS 10.1.4 on Mac, and using Stuffit Lite 6.5.1.

Or as an alternative to fixing the problem , could you at least tell me where I could find a copy of an earlier edition of LW, since that seemed to work well.

The other thing that is a little weird is that there isn't any dialogue boxes or anything written (no little messages that tells you about the status of the installation as it is happening, no notes from lawyers for you to confirm, in fact, nothing in any language) in the entire installation process. Nothing the matter with it, just a little unusual.

Thanks,

Dan

Thanks (And more info . . )

Thank you for posting the output - we at Zero G are working with LimeWire's development team to identify and resolve these issues. We would like to see output from any one experiencing this issue. While we may not be able to directly contact all users experiencing this issue - we will post any resolution we might find to this forum, as well as making it available to the LimeWire team.

On Mac OS X, installation output for InstallAnywhere installers is gathered by opening console.app (you can use the finder to discover the location) when running the installer.

You can send any resulting output to mailto:EvalSupport@ZeroG.com. Please put ATTN:LimeWire in the subject line.

Thanks, and we hope to have this resolved as quickly as possible.

Possible Resolution

We believe that we've identified the cause of this issue.

This may appear when the installer is launched from the command line. The InstallAnywhere OS X installer is designed to be launched from the Mac OS X Aqua UI, and when launched using a command line such as ./LimeWire.bin may produce the issues reported here.

Launching either from a double click in the UI, or by using the absolute path (/user/Desktop/LimeWire.bin or otherwise) should resolve these issues.
