 Hello! LimeWire does not support Sharing of files that are on another external HD then the original application.I think it has something to do with the fact that the HD have to be on the same bus(motherboard) as the NIC and not USB or FireWire. If the external HD that you are using have support for connecting it trough Ethernet then try that(connecting it to a HUB) and also you should install a copy of LW on that HD and it could work.
