Unable to launch downloads
 

I have just started downloading items fron the video section. can access but a few in quicktime. Can i do better. What are all these files that are 29kb or 67?kb when you are searching for a DVD OR VIDEO.

Stay clear of those 29kb, 67kb's they are nothing but spam. If you have any downloaded trash them, they won't do you any harm but the less on the network the better.

Try www.videolan.org for a video player that plays almost any type of file. It's a good player and the best part it's free :D

Thanks for the videolan info i have downloaded it and it seems to work well.

Still get an error message "could not open the files(usually MPG files) "..." because a software component needed by the movie could not be found"

I am trying to download movies and video clips. the downloads work often but can still not open most.

That means that you have to purchase a seperate component for quicktime. The mpeg's you are trying to open are probably mpeg 1 or mpeg 2 which are old. Personally I don't touch quicktime at all as it's to much hassle. Vlc does the job.
