I am operating in MAC OS 10.1.5 and attempting to install Limewire Pro 4.0. I keep getting lag, as it tries to load using Disk Copy Editor. It fails and then an error dialogue box comes up saying: "Unable to load the disk image driver. Invalid argument (-536870208).

This is frustrating as the very reason I chose pro is because Basic was bugging out, refusing to quit, not saving preferences... I tried a reinstall on basic a few times- failed, now this is failing.

Sounds strange that disk copy is having difficulty. May I suggest you redwnld the pro version from your personal dwnld page. And also make sure you have the most up to date Java for OS10.1.5 When was the last time you did a Safe start & repaired permissions? Good idea to do so after you install softw. But in your case also do it before you install LW.
