Can't get started!
Every time I try to open the dmg file is says disk copy has unexpectedly terminated. Do I have to change some of my settings?

No--sounds like a corrupted download (safari, I'd guess).
Just Empty Cache (from Safari's Safari menu), delete the old dmg from the desktop, and redownload the dmg from http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml cheers
