HI,

I use OS X 3.9 and chose my desktop for my saved folder; even before i downloaded anything, all my desktop folders would appear when i clicked it... and then, all of a sudden, the files on my desktop disappeared!!! they are very important... the folders are all still there, but the files sitting there are gone.
its possible i emptied the trash, but it happened today and there are files in the trash modified yesterday so i dont think so.
ive used file buddy to search for these missing files everywhere - as invisible files, as orphans, in invisible folders, anywhere....

i am totally and completely stumped.

any ideas would be HUGELY appreciated.... many thanks, in advance
