You can change the skin and it'll work fine. it has on mine!

Can someone help me find 4.8-- or whatever runs well on os 10.2.8? PLZZZZ?

I can't believe that changing skins could solve the annoying problem of invisible windows with the newer version. Man, you're a genius...

Anyone who had this problem try what robatbdi wrote in his/her post.

claragalad, if you had the problem of windows disappearing with your app, just change the skin and that's it.

WHich skin(s) is it that doesn't work & which one(s) does?

Try changing the skin (view>apply skins). Everything works even though a couple of the buttons (search etc) are split colours. This will see you through until Limewire release a patch.
You can download new skins if you follow view>apply skins>get new skins.

It's probably a java issue. I think the windows LW version is built around Java 1.5 but I'm not sure about the OSX version. Since Java 1.5 is only available for Tiger (10.4 users), it means people using Panther (10.3) & Jaguar (10.2) are getting left behind. Jaguar users use a Java version even a little older than Panther users. The later the Java version, the more abilities & more improvents & stability it has. LW is apparently designed using mostly Java.
