Search Window not showing results

As a new member to this forum or any other please excuse me if this has been answered I have been using Limewire for a few years now and have downloaded 4.10.5 Pro which I am using on an imac g5 running OS10.3.9 when I am downloading and start a search, the window which used to appear to show the search results is not showing instead I just get a quick flicker on the Limewire logo at the top right and then nothing I have been into preferences and searched the forum as best as I could. Can anyone help. Thanks.

Try an experiment, try downlding a magnet link from here: http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml
Tell us what happens.

Can you also tell us these details:

1. What firewalls you have?
2. How much ram?
3. Hard Disk space available?
4. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
5. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
6. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
7. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to menu bar>Limewire>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
8. Who is your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)?
9. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
10. After LW's been open at least 15 mins, do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False?
11. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

Lord of the Rings thanks for your response I sat up most of the night and cleared out most of the Limewire old stuff that was on the mac, and asjusted some of my preferences and got rid of a lot of junk dont know if this is what helped, but when I switched it on today after a few hours sleep, it seemed to reinstall itself and configure the mac settings which it didn't do the last time I installed it just to let you know I have plenty of ram on the mac and plenty of hard disc space, so it now seems to be ok, but I have printed out your response in case I have any more problems, thanks for coming back to me, its guys like you who are a great help as sometimes you feel stupid asking questions, as I am an experienced mac user and like most I try to sort out stuff myself but am never afraid to ask for help. Thanks again
