You were using OSX 10.2 Jaguar right? Jaguar doesn't display some skins properly. Only answer is to upgrade OS. Java 1.5 is really required for LW now. Only Tiger 10.4 or later supports Java 1.5

yep, i have osx 10.2 jaguar. i planning on upgrading to tiger, but this computer is kind of in bad shape.
