Installation problems OSX

Hi,

I am having major trouble trying to install Lime wire. I have downloaded both basic and Beta, after I click on the .dmg file and go through the install it just takes me back to the start, the installation wizard will not open.

I have a intel iMAC and am running all the latest software, I have looked through and found some similar problems on the forum and tried several things as posted by Lord of the rings but no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Reboot in safe mode & repair permissions. Then try again. If still no good, then try the jum beta nightly update: http://www1.mager.org/ Just copy from mounted dmg to your apps folder & run. No installation necessary.

Just clicked on the site you said and found it in the applications works fine.
Also I was wondering what is the best type of movie file to download?

HI guys, used to run limewire for last two years! Since I updated from mac os 10.3 to mac 10.3.9, limewire didn't want to start up! OK started all over new, downloaded limewire again, installs succesfully, doubleclick!, but... doesn't run. Any suggestions?

As suggested earlier, try safe booting & repairing permissions. Also see the Sticky's in this & the other mac sections. They most likely have your answer.
