Angry HELP!! OS X 10.4.10 Java 1.5 issues

Ok so I bought this mac g3 with 10.4.10 off of my coworker and I can not seem to be able to download LW. I have tried all the updates and nothing it will either tell me that it does not need it or that its nothte right one. I am at my wits end with this! And its really making me regret that I bought the ibook. Can anyone help please!! It keeps saying that I need Java 1.5 version.

1. SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions

2. Only download LW using a browser that is NOT internet explorer. Try this version: LimeWire cvs builds (4.13.4jum490) & choose one of the nightly builds (see link on that page)

3. Setting up Java 1.5

Aug 20 00:23:45 Office-local crashdump[594]: crash report written to: /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/LimeWire.crash.log

I'm running OSX 10.4.1, Java 1.5, and Quicktime 7.2. Any thoughts?

Go to apple menu, Software update & update to the latest. There are Java updates. Also, do a safe reboot & repair permissions after doing the update.

It might also be worth doing this: Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link) as it will help freshen up LW. Also keep your number of shares below 2,000

It's also a good idea to leave LW to settle for 10-15 mins before using. And try not using the Find Souces/Resume button on many files at one time. If you use it, just use it on 1-3 at a time. Otherwise it tends to stress LW & the system & apple's Java unfortunately tends to not cope well with it. In any case, it's much more effective to search the files again. You can control click the file & choose search for ...

Default Continuing to crash

As long as I don't close the "Upgrade to Pro" window, LW continues to load, though I show 0 uploads and 0 downloads the whole time. As soon as I close the window, crash and burn.

I'm running OSX 10.4.1, Java 1.5, and Quicktime 7.2.
