All versions since v4.12.11 "hang" when initializing

Running OSX 10.4.10 on Mac G4. Every version I've installed since v4.12.11 hang while attempting to start up and require a force quit. They will start up if I create a new user (essentially a clean OS, also 10.4.10). Would anyone know if a commonly used 3rd party app/pref/whatever, might be causing the hanging in these latter versions but not in the earlier ones. The applications splash window always hangs up as it's loading at the 62% loaded point, (Loading Playlist Windows). What is so different about the newer versions that stops them from loading (on my default OS) while the earlier version (4.12.11) loads and works fine? There's obviously some incompatibility but I'm at a loss to find it. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

1. Setting up Java 1.5

2. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link)

3. Try one of the nightly builds (see nightly build link) LimeWire cvs builds (4.13.4jum490)
