LW Freezing on OS X

I am using the most recent LW version 4.14.8 for OS X and I have recently noticed that when I try to pause downloads it freezes and I have to force quit. I have no firewall active and have been successfully using LW for the past year with no problems.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version and this does not solve the problem.
Any ideas?

1. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link)

2. Keep shared files down to less than 2,000 or even less than 1500.

3. There is a new version out ... it might be worth trying it.

4. You might also try deleting your LW preferences folder whilst LW is closed & found here:
/Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

Sorry for late response.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried all the suggestions you made however it is still freezing. I have already downloaded the latest version 4.14.10 and have had no success.
If I can explain again the problem; I have =/- 500 files being shared and am trying to download 4 video files. To try speed up delivery I want to pause all but one but as I do this one or two will pause while the next will cause the program to freeze. This is regardless of the number of downloads I have or regardless of the file I am downloading. It happens with video, program and audio files . . .All the other buttons on the lower task bar such as cancel, explore, resume and preview work as expected however

System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) so we can look at the issue more closely. ;)
Please include mac model, CPU speed & RAM & available HDD space on your OSX drive too if you are able to. :)

I am having the same issue.

Have a MacBook Pro 2.16Ghz. 2Gb RAM 110GB HDD free running OS X 10.4.10
Have ADSL connection, no firewall, connecting at home via the same ADSL connection I have had for 3 years with no problems previously. Limewire test works.
The only difference I can see if that I use a Mac the ADSL is running off a PC. But this machine has not been changed to reconfigured at any stage so don't see how it can be the problem.

Be wary of using the Resume/Find sources function. If you use it, don't use on many files at one time. Perhaps 1-3 at a time.

You could try one of the nightly builds of LimeWire cvs builds (4.13.4jum490) which are not official releases & are betas. But sometimes one version may solve a particular person's problems. Other than that, perhaps stepping back a version to when this was not a problem. Which version did this problem start with? It sounds like 4.14.8. Which version did you use before this was happening?

I'm not sure if it will make any difference but try disabling the options under Performance which is in the Advanced section of preferences. (The reason I make the suggestion is they've been having some bug issues with Mojito. Also Ultrapeer can add a certain amount of traffic that can give "some" osx users problems with slowing & freezing ... happened to me.)
