Do I aslo need my internet sharing on or off .....lordy lordy..... |
Make them all the same. The listen on port, the portforward port, the TCP and UDP. Be sure to setup a static ip first: PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall |
firewall grief Nice 1 Mr Pac,Ive downloaded the Ip static thing,do i need 2 do anything else regarding that? And regarding breaking fixed things I think im excelling at that 1...Firewall wise in my osx 10.3.9 preferences do i need firewall on but allow incoming network communication to my limewire port, what about internet sharing?on/off....cheers.. |
Personal file sharing is for networking with nearby computers & equipment. The most important thing about the osx firewall setting is you have the limewire/gnutella setting. The port numbers may change from time to time if you are using UPnP. So use the default should be fine afaik. If you port forwarded your modem/router then use same as those. Personally I rarely use my osx firewall. Unless I'm browsing places I am suspicious of. BTW sorry for the very late response. |
