I use LW with a Mac Os X and it works fine. Ive just recently bought Stuffit to expand .zip files for me. This it does, leaves them as setup.exe files which when clicked load iPhoto. Then i get a message in that application that the files are in an unrecognizable format. I thought .zip was pretty standard ? How can i open these files ? Any suggestions ?
Thanking youhttp://www.gnutellaforums.com/images/smilies/bangh.gif |

rename setup.exe to foo.zip or something - you can open if on Mac OS X automatically after that.
Or you can use freeware Zipeg from Zipeg: ZIP Archive Browser and Extractor |

Most zip files are intended for Windows OS. And a setup file is a typical windows installer file. Thus you downloaded a file for windows, not for mac. Look for files that say (for Mac).
You don't need stuffit expander to open zip files. Better is OSX's own zip opener. Select the zip file, go to File menu, Open with ... & choose BOMArchiveHelper. |
