Relaunching LW

the last time i used LW, it froze on me and now everytime I open the file, it freezes and then shuts off and asks to relaunch it. after that, I deleted the LW file and downloaded the new upgraded version, and it does the same thing, freeze, RELAUNCh and asking to resent and relaunch. I cant even access anything once its open. what should i do?

Should i go to an Apple Genius and let the Tec Support look into my Mac? it appears to be working except LW.

Is Software Update up to date?
Many of the java updates require several runs with Software Update to get them all installed.
