![]() I've re-downloaded it 100 times in the past 2 days, and i always get this message when i try to open it. "One or more necessary files appear to be invalid. This is generally caused by a corrupted installation. Please try downloading and installing limewire again. If the problem persists, please visit limewire.com and click the support link." Now i had limewire on my computer a few days ago (OS X 10.4.11), and in the preferences i made it so limewire was used off my external hard drive. Then i close limewire and re-opened it and it said that for the first time ever. So i put it back on to the other harddrive, and now it just won't work. |

![]() I used to have issues with using an external drive for sharing. It seemed the external drive was intermittent in communicating with the OSX system & didn't always register with LW at the time LW was opened. Whether this was due to the firewire 4 or old speed system bus on my old G4 I don't know. It might also be an issue with how OSX handles external drives. My suggestion would be to delete the LW preferences folder; Deleting LW Preferences folder in OSX I know this is an old thread, not sure why it was not answered earlier. ![]() |
