Limewire did work now only connects weak
 

I am on a macbook with OSXLeopard. Why is limewire only connecting with on bar?

many possible reasons . . .
Easiest fix I've found (if it works) is just to go to Apple Menu->Location->Network Preferences->Show ->Network Port Configurations

Uncheck the one you use (usually Ethernet or Airport), hit apply, recheck it, apply.

Thanks, I tried and it didn't change anything. There is also a wall up, I cant find where you can choose to shut it off just for limewire. Can or should you? I'm just afraid to change the wrong thing.

The wall shows "up" by default, and only becomes meaningful once connections have been established for a while.

OK. 2nd easiest shot-in-the-dark fix : Quit LW, and replace the gnutella.net file(the list LW uses to connect).
