I'm also having the same trouble as you! I'm searching around on the forum for more info...

Hmmm I didn't really find anything in the forum but I went back and tried clicking on the download limewire window again. It didn't work that time and then I tried again by clicking on the words instead of the photo. Not sure why, but it worked that time and the setup wizard popped up. Phew.

Nice of you to post, thanks. Tried your suggestion but doesn't work for me. I may upgrade to Pro with support.

The last installer for Mac (taken from official site) simply not works! (I checked from other Mac usrs). There is no way to contact the software issuers so we can't know if they already realized that and how much time will be needed to fix it...

...or maybe they do it in order to encourage people to purchase the Pro version by the way I heard that many usrs unable to install the basic did aquired it!

Just a promotional strategy!

The installers work fine. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...tml#post332979.

After you download a program or installer, OSX asks if you wish to open a file downloaded from the internet, if you chose NO & checked the option to always use this answer when opening the installer, that might definitely be a problem.

Default 2 Different play,courtyard,championships...games!

We're talking 'bout separate things (& be sure I don't choosed "no" in the mask!): I have the problem (as many MacOSX users) that the last installer crash or stop during the last part of installation("running installation script") and U're talkin' about an (well or not) installed version that doesn't start!
However the topic was "limeware won't install on my Mac" and not "limeware don't start after installation" if you want to be so precise!

Peace love & less kidney problems!

Try it in a different account. Set up a fresh account & see if it installs there. If it does, it suggests a problem with your main account. Setting up a Test Account in OSX (click on link)

I was making the point the installers are fine. Not about the opening point.

When you suggest many, you suggest a high percentage, but in real terms it's a low percentage who may be having such issues. There's a 'lot' of osx users of LW out there. Not sure how many millions of LW users are out there at present, haven't checked the tally recently.

Edit: If same problems in a new account, then you could try an older version installer. Let us know what happens first.

BTW have you tried (a) repairing permissions after a safe boot, (b) repaired disk from installation disk. ? 1. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...lease-add.html

2. Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption (an older article)

As already posted in another thread the installer that we downloaded tonight it's actually working for 3 of us (the average was infact based over 5 peoples!), just the Leopold (10.5.5) usrs is still looking for where the firewall option have been put!
However before to claim that the installers was corrupted we did tried all the follows:
-Restart
-Redownload
-Cleared Old Package & Libraries
-Disk Utility
-Consolle installation
We didn't tried to switch the account since we were all admin but as it works now there's no need anymore!
Thank-u for the advice (could b usfl 4 a nextime) and sorry for the ironic answer (but the one U gave me in the begin wasn't very helpful!).

Peace, Love & Aeternal Life
