Default Need HELP INSTALLING LW!! MS Word opens up when i try to download...

i have a macbook, 10.4.11. I used to have LW on this computer before but deleted it. I want to put it back on and when I downloaded it, i get the Limewireosx-1.dmg on my desktop, i clicked on it and it opens up a window that asks me to double click to install. Once i double click, Word opens. I have checked all my java stuff, made sure it was completely deleted and reinstalled.... what am i doing wrong? Thank you so much!

Weird. Something is messed with your machine, so a Safe Boot (restarting with the shift key pressed after the startup tone) is at least needed. Restart normally once Safe boot is finished.

Move (or delete) all the old install.dmg's on your desktop, and download a fresh one from Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent «

Try again. if Word still tries to take control, find and open the Installer Utility (in your Utilities folder). Once open, drag the LW icon from the dmg to the Installer icon in the dock. That should force the installer to run the install program instead of Word.
