juice is flying high
Default Limewire installed Firewall issues

I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.1.
i have imac 3.06/4gb/1TB/512

Ran limewire up until 2 weeks ago with no problems then it wouldn't open, so deleted all limewire files from computer and re installed (5.4.0). It installs no problem but it wont connect. When i go to advanced options it says i am a Leaf node and behind a firewall.

I have gone to system prefs / security and both with my firewall not activated and with it activated and 'allowing' Limewire, Limewire still wont connect.

I have a laptop (pc) which also runs limewire and i'm having no issues with connecting.

Also when i close down limewire it wont close completely and I have to Force quite the application.

I have searched various forums and can't find anything that will work..

Please help.

Make sure LW is closed & delete the preferences folder Deleting LW Preferences folder in OSX

Make sure both LW's are not using the same ports. ie: LW's prefs -> Advanced -> SuperReallyAdvanced -> Firewall.

Have you done a safe boot & repaired permissions? SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions
