I've just spent aaaaaaaages downloading what is advertised as "v. 2.5 LimeWire Basic" for OS 8.1 or later from http://www.limewire.com/index.jsp/download. However, upon unstuffing and installing it reports that it is in fact v2.4.4 when I do an "About" from the Apple menu.
Am I being a total spazzer (which is extremely possible) or has someone FTP'ed the wrong file to the server ??? Any explanations would be gratefully received. Cheers, Quain |

That's LimeWire's fault. I guess they didn't update all of the installers quickly enough.

Try uninstalling all versions of LimeWire, then reinstalling version 2.5.
