Default Problem solved; new problem!

I've succeeded in downloading Limewire; it was a simple matter of dropping the .bin file into Stuffit Expander (duh). However, I now have a new problem. My download was successful, except for one error. Here's how it reads in the Install Log:

Installation: Successful with errors.

0 SUCCESSES
0 WARNINGS
1 NONFATAL ERRORS
0 FATAL ERRORS

Action Notes:

None.

Install Log Detail:

Custom Action: com.limegroup.install.SettingsTranslator
Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR - class com.limegroup.install.SettingsTranslator.install() Unexpected Fatal Error:

How important is this settings translator, and if it needs to be fixed, how do I go about doing that? Does the statement "Action notes: None" mean I neither can nor need to do anything, or is there potential trouble I can forestall by taking some action? I'd really appreciate any informed helpful comments.

This same error message has been posted three times. So far, no explanation or fix. I just reinstalled my older version because the new (2.5.5) one was running extremely slow. I think I'll wait for a newer one and see how it goes.

Question

I have the same problem with both versions 2.5.5 and now 2.6.3. The more visible effect in my case is that the installation choosen in FRENCH gives to me a programm in english... It's occurs with MacOs 9.2.2., but not with MacOS X. What to do?

Thumbs down Why Can't i install Limewire..

I get the same error message as you guys. I have used limewire for over 12 months, but this new version simply won't work because of 1 non-fatal error. I give up. I've switched to another download site as Limewire hasn't bothered to answer any of these problems.

Smile

I experienced the same symptom with 2.6.3.

Not an ultimate solution, but the installation went successful after I turned all extensions off.

Why don't you guys give it a try?

I got the error message with 2.6.3 as well as 2.5.5

So far, 2.6.3 seems to be working ok.

Curious though as to why no one seems to have an explanation as to what the error message means.
