java class not found

I get the following error when I installed the Pro version.

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.limegroup.gnutella.gui.Main

It worked fine when I installed the basic edition. I uninstalled the basic edition and installed Pro. Now nothing works. Just a guess but perhaps uninstalling/reinstalling causes some sor t of corruption.

Not good I am trying to be a good netizen and pay for shareware and it doesn't work.

I see a number of posts but no resolution anbody from LimeWire going to respond?

Thanks

oh yes, I get these error messages, too. I was not suprised to see all these other messages in the board and I was not suprised either to see that the proposed solutions didn't work. however, what did suprise me was that there was absolutely no response from the developers. one should assume that this bug was easy to fix if they didn't even consider dealing with it so far.

so let me join the chants: test your friggin' apps before you send them out there. I'd pay for limewire if it only was stable, fast and reliable. sadly, it's neither of those three.

Fatal Error

Same here. I've used it for well over a year with no major problems, now an abaolute stone wall!!! Are we alone out here??

just one more request for some help from limewire

I basically have the same thing to say as about 90% of these posts. Same error message. Unfortunately I stupidly did not save my pre-2.7 installer, so I am out of luck and can no longer use Limewire, until they fix the bug.

Good thing I paid $9.50 for all those new features.

I have the same problem an I wonder why to pay for this?

There is a new version of LimeWire available. You can try this new version and see if it works for you. Info on version 2.7.7. Download version 2.7.7.

I think the latest release 2.7.7 fixes that problem.

I have paid for LW Pro and the last few have had bugs, including LWPro 2.7.7. I'm still having to use and older version with a work around to make it work.

Version 2.7.7 fixes an OS X problem and nothing with us OS 9 users... I don't think they are in any rush to help us but they are in all the rush to solve all OS X problems
