| As I have seen that some people have been successful in installing limewire, I decided to try again. This time, however, I decided to remove unused extensions (TSM fix and Viewbar) and unknown control panels (stagefright). I then installed 2.8.6NoVM (MRJ 2.2.5 was already on the system). The installation went flawlessly and I am now using limewire 2.8.6! To those of you stilll having problems, I would suggest that you look at extension conflicts. As a first step, use the extension manager to remove any control panels or extensions that are no longer in use. It worked for me. Rev B iMac, 160 Mb, MacOS 8.6 |
