Uninstall freezes me out!!

When I install Limewire on my Mac (OS 9.1) Installanywhere freezes when it tries to load the Uninstall portion of the software. Downloaded again but still have the same problem???

what kind of mac, os and Java version are you using?

OS 9.1, Really old PowerMac 8500/120 with 64MB Ram, not sure what Java I've got.

Oh, sorry I can't help. Thought maybe yours was like a problem discussed for OSX. Still would the following be helpful?

-Check this page for Java info and downloads http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75097. If you plan to use Limewire on the Mac, the info in this link should be useful. I think my son gave up using Limewire on his 8100/100 before I could check his Java (Apple MRJ) to see if he had the old version.

-I've noticed others mentioned installanywhere problems. Have you had a chance to search for "installanywhere" here and on Google?

You can search for LimeWire and delete everything and re download it. Make sure you have the latest version of Apple's java software. I hope that will help.
