9.2 is 8.6 with extras all those are to enable running classic from the OSX platform. 8.6.1 is stable and is everybit as supported by apple as is 9.2.2 .
In fact if you are not running OSX and classic but just old MacOS then anything above 9.1 is useless.

The problems with LimWire 2.9.11 for MacOS is with the installer seems there is a class file missing that not even the latest version of MRJ from Apple will have.

Lets not spread obsolescence.
