Default What Version of LimeWire Do I Have?

First, I am new. I just downloaded and installed the free version of LimeWire.
When I click on the Get Information to determine what version of LimeWire I have, I get the following information:

LaunchAnywhere 4.5, Macintosh Edition, @2001 Zero G Software. Inc.

So what gives? What version of the free LimeWire is the current latest version and how and where would I get it. The version I have is limited in features but apparently works. I have downloaded one audio file, a song, and it works. It is not a great copy.. even though it showed 4 stars. Any advice and suggestions will be appreciated. Should I buy the pro version of LimeWire? Thanks in advance.

What you have to do is open LimeWire then you go under the Apple menu and come down to where it says About LimeWire.

Lightbulb Thank You

Thank you. Your suggestion helped me identify my LimeWire version as 2.8.6. In your comments, you suggested that I download 2.9.8. Is 2.9.8 really better than what I have (that seems to work fine)? I hate to give up something that apparently works. I am downloading the free version of 2.9.8 and will install it and try it. I assume that I can keep 2.8.6 to use if I am unhappy with 2.9.8. Your comments and suggestions are invited. Thanks in advance.

No problem. If LimeWire version 2.9.8 does not suite you. You can always go back to a previous version of LimeWire. Found here: http://www3.limewire.com/download/

Here is the link to LimeWire v2.8.6 http://www3.limewire.com/download/2.8.6/
