Hi; limewire probs:
Running os9.2.1 on g3 with 350mhz processor/384 ram, carbob lib, mrj2.2.5, dsl connection.
On clicking on limewiremac.bin, the installer opens and unpacks. The limewire box comes up followed by error message:
Unable to launch java application.
The main class "com/zerog/lax/LAX" could not be loaded.
Either it is not in the classpath or has a static initialiser that uses a class not in the classpath.

Any advice would be massively appreciated :-)

Recently did system reinstall of several items after using disk warrior including installing carcon lib and mrj.

found similar problem reported [see scoot; next page on].

As described: i installed mrj2.2.5; just to be sure i uninstalled and re-installed mrj 2.2.5.

Same error message keeps coming up.

Is there a resident java prog in os9.2 setup disk that conflicts with mrj?
Am new to macs, tho learning fast,.....

If you have Mac OS 9.2.1>9.2.2 installed on your Mac, MRJ 2.2.5 (9.2.2 updated to MRJ 2.2.5) is the correct version. There was one more update to MRJ 2.2.6 that was supposed to be for those dealing with Oracle. Hope this helps.
