Hello,
I'm trying to install a sit file and keep getting a file expanding error cs.4.rar format error #17540. I have osx, the downloaded file is osx and I have the latest version of stuffit. I have been trying to expand it from my shared file rather than Limewire and have moved everything to the desktop to no avail. Additionally, this has happened with two separate downloaded files of the same variety. Not sure what to do. |

Are you double-clicking the rar file or drag & drop onto stuffit expander? Try drag & drop. Also try rebooting & try it again. I've noticed sometimes Stuffit plays up if the system has been on for many days.
If you know someone with a windows set up, get them to expand it for you. It may turn out to be a problem with the actual rar file. |

Hi LOTR,
I tried both dragging and dropping and double clicking without luck but my system has been up for a few days so I'll try rebooting and take it from there. Thanks |
