The fix is pretty easy--just one file (receipt) to delete

i tried downloading the java standalone - didn't need it
tried to download an earlier version and couldn't get to the page
tried to download again same problem

i'd rather download the version prior to the new one anyway

We'd be glad to help, but not sure why you haven't deleted the receipt that's causing the problem.

The receipt is called ""Install LimeWire.pkg" and is a file in the main library of your hard drive: Once you delete "Install LimeWire.pkg" you won't get the "null" message.

jums are good, but the bouncing reveals a problem with your OS X java that should also be fixed. Sounds like you are using OS X 10.3.9

where does the java update install?

it's there , terminal doesn't see it the limewire square opening logo shows but program won't open
