mystery "quit" on download Anyone experience this? I can open LimeWire Pro, run a search for items (video/audio/whatever) and have no problem with getting results from each search . The problem lies in when I highlite an item, then hit the "download" button, Limewire shuts down completely. The application closes with no evidence that it was ever open. I've sent a message to tech support, but all they say is that there's a worm attached. I have Virex 6.1 with current updates in place. I've run it a few times, and my system (9.2.2) comes up clean. So has anyone else experienced this phenominum? Jeff |

Stay away from files less than 1 MB in size (1,000 KB) as most are virii. See WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! (click on link) for samples of sizes (though there's more.) But almost all of those virii are Windows virii & don't affect the mac. Keep to files above 1 MB & you should be fine. |

Thanks, Lord. Whatever happened has happened, and the problem within my computer still exists. I need a real technical response from one of the staff at LimeWire to look at my situation and see if they can figure out if something has attached itself to limewire or there is a glitch in my application. |
