Limewire doesn't work since upgrade to Leopard

I have upgraded to OS X 10.5.1 and Limewire doesn't get past the first bar in connection quality. Will not search BUT will automatically download a Bitorrent file if I click on it in Finder!!?!
I am using Limewire Pro 4.16.2 with Java 1.5.0_13 (according to About Limewire).

Had no problems when on OS X 10.4.11 using Limewire 4.14 might it work properly if I downgrade back to 14.4?

HELP :bangh: The frustration is really bad!

Yes - and what a surprise that was! I just double-clicked on a .torrent file and Limewire opened up and started to download it! I tried again typing a torrent address in, under File>Open Magnet or Torrent, and that worked. But when I try to do a search or check what's new - NOTHING!

WTF is happening?

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? _ click here to see Sample image Yes, and can't get rid of it even if I deactivate ALL firewalls
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?Tried it both ways (usually set up with UPnP enabled)
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall VirusBarrier X4

...er... This is not some element of LimeWire Tech Support.

Gnutella Forums is us !

"Problem sorting" is done by your fellow members here...

LimeWire is only one of numerous Gnutella Network clients with user support forums here in Gnutella Forums.

Everyone here is a volunteer.

Try these things one by one to see if they have any effect:

(a) disable Little Snitch. I've heard of it causing problems before.

(b) Is OSX firewall on or off? If using another firewall then disable OSX's firewall (you will find it in System prefs, Network -> Firewall tab). Make sure you allowed LW, Gnutella & the port range you are using thru on the firewall rules for the NetBarrier X4r.

(c) Go to LW's Preferences > Advanced > Firewalls, & change the port to another. Good ones to try are between 49152 - 65535, such as port 64049.
