playlist icon

I am new here, and wanted to try limewire. I don't have a playlist icon in the library mode. All the help menus tell me to highlight the song and click the "add to playlist" button next to the launch button. But it's not there. I've seen other posts asking this question, but they always get responses about how to play the songs. My songs play fine, I just want to play many in a row via a playlist.
I am using Mac OS 9.2.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
