Unable to Launch Application (.lax) file

I have just started to use Limewire 1.6 it was OK the first time but know I'm having trouble starting the application, I get an error message saying:

Their was an error finding the launchanywhere properties file (.lax). The properties file must be in the same folder as this application. Please try reinstalling the application.

Tried reinstalling the application and I get the same problem. Has any body else had the same experience.
