Morpheus is ---> Gnucleus (GnucDNA)

Morpheus 3 is GNUCLEUS.

All streamcast musiccity did was put on the morph logo and a GUI.

Click the icon in the morpheus iconbar inside the Morpheus program that looks like this ---> (\/) and it will report the version info, which is "John Marshall, GnucDNA"

Go into the chat and do a WHOIS on yourself and you will see this --> * Gnuke

Morpheus also puts spyware onto your system. Morpheus contains the BROWSER HIJACK trick, and snags you with the MySEARCHBAR pest.

MusicCity/Streamcast do their best to support SPYWARE, that's for sure. Streamcast reportedly got $8 million dollars off of users last year through the spyware, adware, and snagging the affiliate fees.

How much of that will they contribute to John Marshall I wonder, for using his program.

MusicCity has started generating copy-protected songs. Which they plan to start seeding on morpheus. They are called CintoA or CONTENT into APPLICATION which means they are encrypting songs into EXE files that will only play 2 times and then expire on you unless you pay. You can't play the songs in winamp or Win Media Player, they will only play inside morpheus. And they will charge you to buy the downloaded songs. Morpheus is charging the indie artists, too. As much as $15,000 dollars each song for them to put their song into a CintoA file. This is all on their own website under the FAQ http://www.musiccity.com/faq.html , you can go read all about it there. For your typical album of 15 songs, that comes out to about $225,000.00. I hope the indie artist has an extra quarter million dollars sitting around the basement or garage they are practicing in.

NO IT'S NOT.

Morpheus is licensing GnucDNA, which is still different from being Gnucleus.

Remember, GnucDNA is opensource, and licensable through L-gpl.
Some people tend to see it that morpheus using GnucDNA is wrong, actually THIS IS NOT. This is positive for Swabby (they contracted him)
And for morpheus users (better connectivity to other Gnutella clients)

This is also better for other clients, as they won't be spammed with all the buggy 2.* morpheus releases.
