Hello!

The changes in upload bandwith does not have any effect on people already downloading from you.After you have changed that setting you have to click the apply button then OK.But before you even change it you have to do the following:

In LimeWire go to:

Tools>Options>Connections

Here you should temporary disable the autoconnect on start up option by unchecking it and then click Apply then OK.

Now close LW.

Now Relaunch LW and once again go into preferences and change the Upload Bandwith settings.Then re check the auto connect option then click Apply then OK.

Now from the File menu select Connect and LW will connect you to the network and the reduced Upload bandwith should now take effect on people downloading from you.
