That the lenght of the songs be in MB's instead of KBs, and an option to choose the type of audio media since the beginning (mp3, wma, avi).

Lightbulb Dowload Scheduler

Hi Everyone,

Did nyone feel a need for a scheduler in LW? I think it would / could be a good feature to have. You select all the d/l you want. Select the time you want to start, then the action you want to perform after they are complete. Meaning you dont have to have your comp running whole night, but shutdown when the d/ls are over. Or start the d/l at a particular time of the day?

What say guys ?

Default Auto resume downloads

Once all your download get need more sources it as far as I have seen doesn't automatically checks after some time if sources are available there should be a time feature like 2 minute or 5 after which all download which were stoped due to lack of sources get resumed.

Thumbs down re: Dowload Scheduler

There already is an option available for limewire itself to shut down after completing transfers.

If you right click the icon in the system tray it is available as 'Exit After Transfers'.

I personally wouldn't want limewire to have the power to shut down my computer.

Limewire wouldn't need to have the power to shut down the whole computer. Just the Program itself. I suggested this months ago.

A feature that should be implemented to that as well is seperate scheduler for downloads and uploads since many have a montly limit on how much to download during peakhours and flatrate part of the day/night but no limit on uploads From their ISP

Agree with Sleepy... My two cents are :

We are aware that LW can be shut down after all downloads are complete, however it would be nice to have a feature to d/l at particular times, or schedule the d/l. That is what I guess the main request was.

Also a good suggestion made, to check for new sources. Sometimes it does happen that ur d/l from 1 host and the host logs off, then u just get stuck with a 90% d/l till another host comes up (also could be a day bef4 some1 shows up with the file u r d/loading !)

Cheers!

Default Add new file extensions

Please add the following file extensions as Document:
.CBR, .CBZ

Ref: http://www.geocities.com/davidayton/CDisplay; this format is already well represented on the Gnutella network.

Lightbulb i think i gotta good idea

how about a feature where you can rate the importance of a specific file that you are downloading. in other words say that your downloading like 6-8+ files, and u want a few of them to get done 1st/fast but dont wanna have to puase the others ya no? mabye a 1-3 or 1-5 system. 1 being most important or w/e and they all start on the lowest or mid level of importance and you can "up-grade" them. anyway, just thought it would be a good idea thx for listening

Arrow Save & Then Reuse Searches When Restarting LimeWire

I would like a way to feed a list of searches to LimeWire when starting up.

For instance, say I search for bird migration data, videos of bird flight patterns, and audio of bird calls. I would like to be able to specify a somewhat lengthy list of search terms and the type of search (document, audio, etc.), rather than retype the list each time I start up.

I think that searches could be easily saved to an XML file, which could then be read and parsed when LimeWire starts.

(Of course, then I guess you also need a way to edit and delete existing searches. So, it is not as simple as it first appears.... Although, changes to the XML file could be completed outside of LimeWire, using a text editor.)
