May be what he wants is a "Edit" menu, with the standard "Copy/Cut/Paste/Select All" options... May be needed for usability of those that don't like keyboard shortcuts, and to display the keyboard shortcuts...
The clipboard operations are supported by Java components (on all platforms) that LimeWire uses.

I'm using version 4.05 for Mac OSX and the clipboard operations (using keyboard shortcuts -- command x,c,v) don't work in the search fields.
