Mouse wheel and Java
Unfortunately, Java does not yet support the mouse wheel. So, short of making platform-specific extensions, there is no way to add this feature.
Sun plans on adding this functionality to Java in version 1.4, which officially entered beta a day or two ago. In short, I wouldn't plan on this any time soon....
