Limewire should ask the user if they really want to rename the file via limewires library.

I believe renaming files is still a sensitive subject as Limewire may use a hash of the file or the filename for reference purposes (comparing to see if a file you have matches a file in a search list). This helps minimize the number of unwanted duplicate downloads on the network. I wish it were a bit more sophisticated in this; I think it is being worked on.
