Hi, I was just using the best p2p program (Limewire of course) and as I used to use other p2p apps such as WinMX and eMule,
I think a username system would be a good idea to go with the new jabber implemented chat system too. Just a thought for the devs or anyone else... Post your views please. Limeplugged.

That could mean a lot of usernames. And where would the database of usernames be so they aren't repeated as in email names, etc. Actually it's not a bad idea. I recently read some comments about this concept in this section somewhere.
Found it! Responses to this are interspersed throughout this following thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...5&pagenumber=1 Last edited by Lord of the Rings; February 28th, 2005 at 04:05 AM. |

Thanks, I saw that it said "It would not work on the Gnutella Network. I mean if Gnutella does turn into an eDonkey kind of network with much much larger files...
I've changed my mind now Usernames would just cause more problems with privacy issues and accounts being hacked etc... A post needs to be though thoroughly through before being posted! Lesson Learned! Limeplugged |
