I think LimeWire should use both Gnutella things.. 1 AND 2.. and yes there is such thing as Gnutella 2..

That is not Gnutella. It's something else that stole the name.

well there are good and bad things about it. but i think we can learn from its good and bad things. personally, i like some of its ideas and extensions. which i think all users of gnutella could benefit from.

one of my favorites of the protocol is the profile extension.

although i dont use sharezaa/"g2" and will most likely never use it again unless i have to, i would enjoy some of its features to be added or extended to gnutella.

make it so you can choose which networks you want to connect to out of Gnutella 1 and Gnutella 2.

Gnutella 2 is a very good network with loads of great files so why not add it to LimeWire but make it optional eh?

No. Bad idea, search the forumk for g2 I explained many times why it wasn't a good idea. G2 is much worse than Gnutella. And the multinet idea is dumb.
