How about people MUST share to connect to the network, it's called filesharing, afterall.

And a way for the network to filter out files from the people who think their smart by adding nonsense files to make it look like they're sharing.

if no one allows freeloaders how will people that are new to?limewire get started. I think the new freeloaders should have a certain time period to get files before they fully become a freeloader.

i personally think they should "pay first, then eat", this isnt a five star restaurant, its a mcdonalds. fast service, decent quality. you get the most for your buck! meaning i think gnutella users should contribute something before being allowed to access other content. this would keep the content of the network high. and rare files can be access quickly.

but since this world isnt perfect, our software isnt either. its actually way too complicated to make sure a user shares the content you allow them to download. or to check even if that user is sharing. this is why its vaguely presented in limewires options. because its always an "uncertain". anyone can lie about how many files they share, anyone can lie if they have enabled partial file sharing. etc.
