I bought LimeWire Pro, and was hoping I could at least disable this stupid "pop-up" that always starts up when launching LimeWire. I don't want to see that Getting Started screen, I just want a blank search pane.

This should be an option.

As soon as you do a search it disappears anyway. Or you can click on the red button in the corner of it (I think windows version also has it) which will remove it for that occasion.

Also, it would be nice to prevent LimeWire from asking if it would like to handle my magnet links or not every single time it starts. I told it no, and I mean no.

I just don't care for ads/pop-ups/banners of any kind in my paid software.

You can disable it if you know a little about hex editing I prefer W32Dasm for decompiling and any hex editor would work there are tons out there. But always of course doing it for educational purpose only.

Do you know where to edit the file?

The next official release will have this option. The beta already has this. If you want to try the pro beta, get it from the bottom of your personal pro download page. ie: it will only ask you the once about handling magnets.
