If you leave a search tab up, you can right click (or command click as the case may be) and research using the same search terms. |
Thank you for replying. Yes I know that you can redo the search tabs. But If I want to reformulate the search; i.e. add words, delete words, etc., I have to retype it all over again. Sometimes I have a list of searches I want to remember and I would like to be able to cut and paste. It it easier on my back; where repeated reaching to type, especially on a laptop, is very painful. Does that make sense? Most programs have cut and paste and delete features--they are as old as the sun and should be very simple to implement. I think Limewire should add this editing feature for us older folks. Thanks |
pam--there's a preference for "autocomplete" which should be turned on by default. This cuts down on some on the retyping. THe keyboard commands for copy and paste will work in the search box, but you can't click on results, for example, and copy those. Apparently an edit menu is very difficult to implement in java programs. |
Well, I would like a better Library organization but also a better skin. I love some of the skins in Shareaza but I don't like the program. If LimeWire had some awesome skins, different from the theme it has right now, that would be awesome. |
Kill DownLoad I would like to be able to customize the window when you right click in the downloading section. I have found that if the 'Kill Download' was further down I would not kill a dnld by accident in my haste to 'force dnld' selections. Also, I have found that when you specify a certain level of sharing for those up-loading--it does not have any affect--doesn't work in (VER 4.8.0) |
What I'd like to see in limewire 1. The option to see the 'Explore' option enabled on any file being downloaded, or in any window being viewed that contains media files. 2. I would like to see LimeWire remember my "view "settings in my search window. I like to view my columns by "File Size" and I find it annoying to have to select this with every search I make. It would also be nice to see LimeWire remember this when it is loaded. An option like this would make LimeWire more enjoyable for me to use. 3. I would also like to see the before-mentioned "BitRate" displayed next to the media files as I used to judge which particular files I wanted to download by the quality of the media. |
i want to be able to fast-forward and rewind in the actual limewire window. I know its possible to open it with windows media or w/e it would just be so much more convenient. I am surprised no one else has already said this... |
I Like The Turbo Charged Download in LimeWire PRO! |
Patience Quote:
Patience is not a virtue --- Dealing with computers it is a necessity. How anyone bothers to wait two or three days for a download to START, I have no idea. If it's a HUGE file that has started to download and your bandwidth (and the bandwidth of those uploading) tells you it will take days, ok. But to START? Feature I would like: I share almost anything I download. From the Library it would be nice to have a drag-and-drop function for the completed files to be sent to one of the shared folders I use to keep myself up-to-date on where they are. (Category folders like Music, Long movies, Short movies, Pictures, Sexpictures, Cool Stories, etc.) |
I would like to see an option to download a short section of a video clip to preview to avoid hours of download of porn or crap. eg A steve Irwin search produced about 20 hits - mostly porn and the actual tape is still in the coroners hands. |
