Default Photoshop CS6

How to increase the number of times to use "Step Back" in Photoshop CS6?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

I only have CS5 presently but I presume it's the same?
Preferences -> Performance -> History & Cache -> History States.
You can either use the scroller or type in a number of history states. If your computer does not have a lot of RAM or hard disk space then if this number is too high you may find Photoshop runs out of memory.

I'm on MacOSX, so in Windows the preferences might instead be called Settings.

Renewed thanks for your kindness in answering me so promptly.

I have followed your method, and I entered the desired number in "History States".

I would never have thought of such a solution on my own. I always seem to come up against problems in computer navigation, even though I have been using the computer for several years now, and have taken a few courses offered by a tuition organisation.

Regards.

Joe
